How fashion is catching up to technology, and vice versa

Updated: Aug 3, 2021

Marketplaces like Amazon, ASOS, Boohoo & Nordstrom are increasingly taking share from the fashion & apparel market, driven by the ease of online ordering, flexible return policies, seamless checkout and user-friendly websites. New commerce models are affecting the way consumers are purchasing "must try on" products like watches, jewelry, footwear & even denim! Wholesale brands are taking advantage of low direct-to-consumer barriers and their ability to create brand culture. Non-US-based brands are capitalising on advanced supply chains, increased brand exposure, and strong online presence. This will only be the new norm, especially after the pandemic has turned everything inward - relieving the need to go to brick & mortar stores, and perhaps consulting and buying via real-time live platforms such as zoom, instagram & facebook.
